VIB Rouge Welcome Kit: What’s in the Box? Plus a small haul

When I heard about VIB Rouge this morning, the first thing I did was check my account to see how close I was to qualifying. When I learned that I only had $52 to go, well, I knew what I had to do. After work, I made a beeline for Sephora – here’s what I got.

The box for the VIB Rouge Welcome Kit is much larger and made of more substantial cardboard than the regular VIB Welcome Kit. On top is a little insert that tells you a bit about the program, which contains all the same information as the Sephora website.

Under the info insert are the goods: a shiny new VIB Rouge card (and it is shiny, I just took the photo from an angle where it wouldn’t glare) and an exclusive Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick mini in the exclusive color Rouge. A full size is available for Rouge members on the Sephora website.

These photos were taken under natural light. I compared it to Bite Beauty Tannin (far left) and Givenchy Le Rouge Grenat Initie (far right). As you can see, when swatched Rouge and Tannin are almost indistinguishable. In the tube and on the lips though, Rouge is a little warmer and slightly less glossy.

So that’s the welcome kit! I also bought some stuff of course – I’ve been eyeing these things for a while. For now enjoy the photos & swatches – reviews will be coming soon!
