February Empties

February EmptiesI apparently just haven’t been on my game this month as far as emptying things out goes, but February’s a short month, so I guess that means I have an excuse?

The first one to go was my trusty ol’ EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 sunscreen, which I’ve been using for a pretty good while now. I’m still impressed with how well it works under my makeup, and it’s that rare unicorn among sunscreens – non-greasy and doesn’t leave a white cast. Naturally I purchased a new one when I noticed this bottle starting to get low.

The Burberry Effortless Mascara isn’t so much empty as it’s just past its prime. I got it in early November, and at this point it’s starting to feel a little bit dry and not applying as smoothly as it used to. Plus, ya know, it’s just about time to toss it for sanitary reasons.

I’ve also been testing a sample of Sunday Riley Juno Transformative Lipid Serum because it’s basically a blend of every skin oil that I’ve ever thought about trying and then some. Seriously, here’s the ingredients list:

BLACK CUMIN SEED OIL, BLACKBERRY SEED OIL, BLUEBERRY SEED OIL, BROCCOLI SEED OIL, CARROT SEED OIL, CHARDONNAY GRAPE SEED OIL, CRANBERRY SEED OIL, MARULA OIL, MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL, POMEGRANATE OIL, RED RASPBERRY SEED OIL, ACAI FRUIT OIL, VITAMIN E

It does feel a bit silkier than the other oils I’ve tried, but the effects on my skin weren’t any different. The sample did last me a couple months, but considering the high price tag on this one ($125 for 1.02oz/30ml), I won’t be purchasing.
