ArtDeco Beauty Finally Delivers to the USA & I Feel Let Down

ArtDeco is one of those European makeup brands I’ve been pining for off and on for years. Our friends in Canada have had it for ages, of course, but they don’t have any stockists here as far as I know. How then, did I not realize until a couple weeks ago that their web store now ships to the US? This discovery coincided with a 30% off flash sale on their site, so I took the chance to try out a little bit of something new. Despite all the praise I’ve heard for the  ...

Which Nail Polish is Best? A New Wear Test Series

So here’s an idea that’s been kicking around in my head for a little bit – I don’t wear nail polish nearly as much as I’d like to. Fall Polishes: CND & Zoya

The last two days I’ve walked outside and considered going back in for a jacket. In my mind, that’s good enough to start thinking about fall. Swatches: Zoya Paradise Sun & Island Fun

I guess technically it’s not summer yet, but since we’re all planning our vacations anyway it’s time to break out summer colors. The calendar can’t boss me, ha! As per usual, new Zoya polishes. This time around we get saturated creme finishes, and bright shades with fine glitter that gives a sort of metallic effect. Side note, I kind of wonder how they keep all their colors straight and avoid duplicating shades – that must be a hell of a filing system. Anyway.  ...

Swatches: Zoya Naturel Satins & Delight

Even though the weather lately has been decidedly ‘winter’, I suppose we’ll eventually have spring at some point. New season = new Zoya colors. For spring there are two collections. The Naturel Satins have a range of muted, semi-matte shades that remind me of Easter eggs (in the best possible way!) and the Delight collection is full of bright, cheerful colors. To be perfectly honest, the Delight shades aren’t really my thing because bright colors (other than pink and  ...
