Gift Guide: Indulgences

More gifts ahoy! (I know we’re already past Talk Like a Pirate Day but I couldn’t resist.) These are the things I’d buy for a makeup lover, or maybe sneak them onto my own wishlist…. By the way, I’m compiling a list of Black Friday and Cyber Monday beauty sales – you might want to sign up so you don’t miss them!

How many of us are strangers to covering up the evidence of a little too much revelry? Right, so YSL Touche Eclat is probably a safe bet for any gift list – brighten up the undereye area and add glow to the skin with just a couple swipes.

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Burberry blushes – I’ve talked about them a few times. I’m of the opinion that everyone should have one, and if they already have one, then another one can’t hurt!

Winter calls for a little extra sparkle, so that means Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. It’s like moonlight in a jar, or some sort of wizardry like that.

My favorite Sephora kit every year is the Lash Stash. If you stick to the recommended three-month life span, this will still last for ages – and it’s a way better deal than the equivalent price in full-size mascaras. The Favorites kits always go fast during holiday season, so you may want to grab this one sooner rather than later.

Tom Ford is the ultimate luxury in lipstick. Really, it’s creamy, pigmented and glides on like a dream. But just so ya know, the Lips & Boys collection with clutch-sized lipsticks will also be launching on Friday on tomford.com

Say you already have all the Burberry blushes, or you want a little more variety in color or finish. Ok, that’s fair.  NARS blushes are also extremely pigmented and long-lasting, and worth having two or ten of.

It’s officially the season of wrapping up in cashmere – unless you’re on the upside-down half of the world ;-) – so Bite Cashmere Lip Cream counts, right? Just the thing to perk up grey winter days.

Another minor obsession of mine – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. It might just be the closest thing to photoshop in a compact.

Come for the gorgeous spiky bottle, stay for the incredible formula and wear time. I was skeptical about the new Christian Louboutin nail polish, but it really is worth splurging on.
