Gift Guide: Luxe Edition

Happy Thanksgiving, folks! I hope everyone is enjoying that delicious turkey (or whatever your family’s traditional holiday food is) and laying around in stretchy pants.

If you’re planning on taking advantage of the holiday-shopping kickoff sales, here’s one more bit of gift/wishlist inspiration for you. Pretty things for someone who’s been very good this year! Be on the lookout later for the sale roundup I’ll be sending out (you can sign up for sale emails here – I do them whenever I see something cool).

I picked up the new(ish) formula of Guerlain Meteorites in the Sephora VIB sale after using a sample for a couple months, and I can’t believe it took me so long. Not only does the packaging look gorgeous, the powder has a completely flawless finish.

You really can’t go wrong with classic red, can you? Guerlain has amazing nail polish and lipstick formulas, and the KissKiss set is a great way to try them out.

Charlotte Tilbury makeup is finally available in the US! The Luxury Palette eyeshadows are one of the nicest formulas I’ve tried – completely worth the wait.

Umm, can we say spoiled rotten – but in a good way! The Make Up For Ever Makeup Station seriously has juuuust about everything you need. The Artist Shadows and Aqua Lip liners are especially great.

The Trish McEvoy Ultimate Beauty Organizer might just be the best organizer ever. I refuse to travel without mine.

Something about a fancy compact just makes the day better (or I think so anyway). If you have to touch up, you might as well have fun doing it! Estee Lauder makes some gorgeous pressed powder compacts, and this year’s Gleaming Streamers version is super festive.

So, if you don’t know which lipstick to get for someone, you can hedge your bets with the Sephora Give Me More Lip set – it’s almost like getting one of everything.

Oh, so you want to try ALL the things from the Charlotte Tilbury line? The Bombshell Set has an entire look’s worth of products.

This one might be cutting it a little close to holiday deadlines, and I haven’t actually tried it yet, but I have a hunch about the Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette. It’s their first eyeshadow palette, but if it’s anything like their duos, I have high expectations for it. It’s available for pre-order from Barneys and should be hitting other stores in January.
