Review: Formula X for Sephora in Perfection
Before the Formula X for Sephora nail polishes were released, I picked up Pyrotechnic as 100-point perk and was really impressed with the quality, even if I’m not a huge wearer of red polish. They recently started offering another Formula X 100-point mini, so of course I snatched it up. This time the shade is called Perfection.
Perfection is a muted grey-lavender, which is a bit more up my alley than Pyrotechnic was. It’s a great transitional spring color that will look just as nice with floaty dresses as it does with boots and coats.
The one I have is a mini, which holds .16oz/5ml of polish. Even though it’s small, I expect it to last a while – painting my fingers and toes barely made a dent in it. Of course you can also get it in a full size bottle, which contains .4oz/12ml.
The brush is round, and a bit on the short and thin side. It takes a couple of dips to coat each nail. Despite that, it goes on very evenly and levels itself well. Probably my favorite thing about it is how easy it is to get precise lines around the sides and cuticle. I barely had to do any cleanup at all, which is extremely unusual for me! It dries fast with a nice shine, and lasted five days before I started to get a few chips.
In Short: The formula is another win from Sephora Formula X, and I can see myself getting a lot of wear from this particular color.
Formula X for Sephora ($10.50) is available at sephora.com

January 23, 2014 at 9:00 amThis is so funny, I just posted a photo to instagram last night singing the praises of this polish (I used extraordinary). I’ve been thinking of getting that perk and after seeing it on your nails, I think I might need to pick it up.
