Beauty Tag: Colors of the Rainbow

I was tagged by the gorgeous ladies of IndieKnow to do a “colors of the rainbow,” picking my favorite product for each color. It was tough (for various reasons) but here they are!

Red: Givenchy Le Rouge Grenat Initie

This one was totally easy – Givenchy Le Rouge is my favorite lipstick formula, and Grenat Initie is an amazing red shade.

Orange: Guerlain Rouge Automatique #141 Quand Vient l’Ete

I don’t have a huge number of orange-toned products, but this is an incredibly fun summer color. Now if summer would just get here….

Yellow: Smashbox eyeshadow

This one was tough because I apparently own almost nothing yellow. As in, the only other option was a rubber band. So by default I guess my favorite yellow is this eyeshadow that I depotted from an ancient Smashbox holiday palette!

Green: CoverGirl Clump Crusher

This color got conveniently narrowed down through a lack of products too. Out of all the green (or green-packaged) makeup in my collection, this is my best-loved and most-repurchased one.

Blue: Shu Uemura 675

It looks a little pale and frosty in the photo, but in real life this is a bright, vibrant blue.

Indigo: Lorac Sapphire

Even before I started picking out stuff for the other colors I knew this would be my shade for indigo. Aside from being really pretty, I’m a big fan of Lorac eyeshadows in general.

Violet: Tom Ford Crushed Amethyst

There’s no way I could leave this one out – by far my favorite purple palette.

I skew a little more toward neutrals, so I’d love to see this done by some of my favorite colorful lades:
