First Look: Yves Saint Laurent Couture Palette #4 Saharienne
I’ve been looking forward to these new palettes from YSL since I very first saw pictures (about a month ago) and at the time I had read they wouldn’t be out until June. Well, they popped up a few days ago on the Saks website, and since I had been planning on getting one all along, I jumped right on it. As hard as it was to restrain myself to just one, I ended up getting No 4 Saharienne. I haven’t seen any swatches other than the Bleus Lumiere palette from the summer collection, so I wanted to go ahead and share some pictures!
Unfortunately I don’t have any of the older YSL eyeshadows to compare these to for you. I always look at them in Sephora, but they swatch so badly dry that I’ve never picked one up. I’ve heard they work much better wet, but I don’t have time to fuss with that every morning. In any case, the pigmentation on these is much better. The beige shade isn’t sheer, it’s just a really close match for my skin! Obviously I’ll have to use it for a while before I can really review it, but on first impression – it has great pigmentation, applies smoothly and blends easily. I’m really excited about this and can’t wait to play with it. They’re available at Saks now, and I assume they’ll be at other retailers before too terribly long.
Have you got your eye on any of these, or are you holding out for other summer releases?
