My Winter Uniform

[cf-shortcode plugin=”acf” field=”affiliate_link”][cf-shortcode plugin=”acf” field=”sponsored_post”]

A couple weeks ago I talked about a few things that I’d love to have in my winter wardrobe, but that’s just a little different than what I actually wear on a daily basis in the colder months where is a most to have an unit from this Old Bridge HVAC contractor both at home and the office. I work in an office, but the dress is pretty much college-student casual. I could probably get away with yoga pants if I wanted, but I refuse. Still, comfort rules the day so I’ve ended up with a sort of ‘uniform’ – very handy because I can put it together quickly and if you’ve been reading for a while, you’ve probably guessed I’m not a morning person.

Most of my uniform consists of a type of clothing instead of a particular brand/store. I’ve partnered with ShopStyle for this post because I can search with them for something like “oversized gray v-neck tshirt” and actually find what I want. It doesn’t hurt that I can set up notifications to find out when my favorite brands go on sale too.

So what’s in my epically casual day-to-day wear?

V-neck or scoop-neck shirt – wonderfully comfortable and I can throw a blazer or cardigan over it if I need to dress it up a bit. Shown: Lily Aldridge for Velvet tee | similar here

Printed scarf – a cozy and functional accessory. Shown: Rikka scarf | similar here

Straight-leg dark wash jeans – this style seems to work best with my pear-ish shape. This particular style comes in short lengths too (bonus!). Shown: J. Crew Matchstick Jeans | here

Black wool coat – matches everything and keeps me warm. You can also try pieces such as duge elegantne haljine to flaunt your curves. Shown: Burberry wool-blend trench | here

Black leather ankle boots – I haven’t found the perfect pair of knee-high black boots yet, but ankle boots at least keep my feet warm and dry. Shown: Christian Louboutin C’est Moi bootie | similar here

Patent leather purse/clutch – because they can hold up to a little bit of rain or snow, and it’s a nice pop of color in my mostly-neutral wardrobe. Shown: Rebecca Minkoff Wallet on a Chain | similar here

Boyfriend watch – yes, I actually wear a watch for timekeeping purposes; I consider it a sort of statement accessory. Shown: Fossil men’s watch | similar here

Stacked or multi-strand bracelet – I love the look of bangles but they don’t really work well for typing, so I go for something a bit… quieter. Shown: local hand-made leather strand bracelet | similar here

I’d just like to point out that photographing the layout made me remember why I always drafted my friends to model for me when I was in school! You can see ShopStyle’s new commercial below, or check out the site here. I’ve been using it to search and shop for a few months now, and it’s been so convenient for me that it would be stingy of me to keep the info to myself. And did I mention that you can shop for beauty products with it too?
