Totally unnecessary FOTD

Now, I’m not saying that posting this FOTD was unnecessary. No. The unnecessary part was the part where I got out of bed and put on makeup yesterday. You see, on Sunday night we got about five inches of snow and in the south that’s practically the apocalypse. I woke up at 6AM to an email from work that said we were on a two-hour delay – sweet! So I reset my alarm, and when I woke up again at 8AM I checked my email; ya know, just in case. No change in plans so I got up, got ready for work and went on my  merry, slushy way.

I thought things seemed awfully quiet when I got to the office – only the guy at the front desk was there (he has to come in regardless of weather). When I sat down at my desk, I discovered another email had been sent to tell us that we were actually closed all day. Except I hadn’t gotten it until I’d already left for work. Sigh. So I stayed for a few hours to get caught up on some things, then went and ran errands. I guess at least I looked decent for the ladies at the UPS store?
