Sale Alert: Sephora VIB Sale Spring 2014

It’s almost here! People online have started reporting that they’ve received their Sephora sale mailers (I never get one, not sure why?) so the details are in. The sale will be 15% off for, which you can share with one non-VIB friend. It will run March 30 – April 11 in store, or online with the code ROUGETICKET. This information came via a Rouge member, so the details might be slightly different for VIBs.

The sale also comes with what I’m pretty sure is the first special Rouge-only event of the year. From 9-11AM on March 30, Rouge members will be able to shop at a closed-door event with brand reps, coffee and snacks, and can also take home a cosmetic bag of free samples. The events won’t take place at JCP Sephoras, unfortunately, and there’s a note that the event hours may vary at some stores. You’ll be able to RSVP for the event at sephora.com/rouge-rsvp but the event doesn’t seem to be active yet as I’m writing this.

So what’s on my shopping list?

For one, I’ve really been wanting the Shiseido Benefiance Eye Cream. The rational part of me knows that my moisturizer can serve the same purpose, but the sample I had just felt so smooth and silky. It’s pricey for eye cream though, so I’ve been waiting for the sale to pick it up.

I’m also running dangerously low on primers of all sorts and need to refill those stat. I’ll almost definitely pick up another NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base because it has never failed me, but I’m also really interested in the Dior Backstage Eye Primer. The idea of a primer that can even out my skintone is very, very tempting.  I need some face primer too, but it’s a tossup between Hourglass Veil or Hourglass No 28.

So… that’s totally boring, right? Unfortunately most of the things I really want right now are from summer collections that aren’t quite out yet. But if you have to buy staples anyway, might as well get a discount.
