30 Faces: #24

I’ve been wanting a lip piercing forever – as in, since high school – but first I didn’t want to draw attention to my crooked teeth, and then I went through almost five years of orthodontics and wearing a retainer. Probably not the best idea when your mouth is full of metal bits the jewelry could get snagged on. That’s all over now though, so earlier this week I decided to finally go for it and I’m really thrilled with it – despite my expression in the photo! I have a long bar in to account for swelling (dat fat lip) so it pokes out and looks sort of wonky when I smile. And of course I had to get a new lipstick to celebrate the occasion! That’s what normal people do, right?

Lips:

• Givenchy Le Rouge Framboise Velours (come on, you knew it was going to be a Le Rouge)
