Gift Exchange Haul

A few weeks ago one of the forums I’m on did a gift exchange, and my partner was Diana from Sparkling Pink. In some of our chats beforehand I mentioned that I’d love to try some things that aren’t as easily available in the US. She took that to heart and did an amazing job picking things out! Check out all the goodies she sent:

Gift Exchange HaulI was incredibly excited when I opened up the package and found some great Daniel Sandler loot. Daniel Sandler products are available in the US from asos, but these are my very first ones. The package also had a Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand – also a first, and it sort of touched off an obsession (just look at the posts from the last week or so, you’ll see). There was also an Edward Bess lipstick, sample size Inglot lipsticks, and a Depend mini polish. Depend is a Swedish nail brand that I had never actually heard of before, and I get a good chuckle from the fact that Depends in the US is a totally different sort of product (adult incontinence products, if you’re not familiar). But I won’t hold that against it! And of course a haul post wouldn’t be complete without swatches, so here’s how they all look on the skin.

Daniel Sandler Beyond Sunset and Grey VelvetThe first four swatches are of the Daniel Sandler Beyond Sunset eyeshadow quad, which has a great texture. It’s a really interesting mix of warm and cool colors, and it’s perfect for a nighttime smoky eye in the summer. The last swatch is the Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner in Grey Velvet, which looks amazing with the quad and totally lives up to its name as far as wear time goes. I really love the fine tip on it – it’s one of the few pencils that I can actually do wings with.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Rubens, Edward Bess Island Coral, Daniel Sandler Valentina, Inglot 97 and 69The cheek and lip products are equally amazing. Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Rubens is a really pretty sangria color with a sheer-ish/natural finish. The lipsticks from left to right are Edward Bess Island Coral, Daniel Sandler Valentina, Inglot #97 and Inglot #69. I’m especially thrilled about Valentina because my lipstick collection somehow lacked a bright raspberry shade, and this one has an incredibly comfortable texture. Island Coral is a great soft orange for summer, and the electric coral and fuchsia shades from Inglot will be a nice way to change up my normal pinks.

Depend Polish 351The Depend polish (#351) is a bright turquoise with turquoise shimmers. Doesn’t it just make you think of the ocean around a Carribean island?

I love playing with new makeup, so I’ve been kind of like a kid in a candy store with these! Any thoughts on which ones should get reviewed first?
